Clearing cache and performing a hard refresh

If the BAMF OS interface is behaving erratically, displaying outdated information, or failing to load specific elements, the first troubleshooting step is always to clear your browser cache and perform a hard refresh. Browsers store static assets locally to speed up load times, but these cached files can sometimes become corrupted or out of sync with the server.

To perform a hard refresh on Chrome (Windows), press Ctrl + F5 or Shift + F5. On Mac, press Cmd + Shift + R. This forces the browser to bypass the cache and download fresh files from the server.

If a hard refresh does not resolve the issue, you may need to clear your cache entirely. Navigate to your browser settings, locate the privacy or history section, and select 'Clear browsing data'. Ensure that 'Cached images and files' is selected. You do not necessarily need to clear your cookies or browsing history.

After clearing the cache, restart your browser and log back into BAMF OS. In 90% of cases, this simple procedure resolves localized UI anomalies.
