    Getting Started with BAMF OS

Setting up a two-way sync with Google Calendar

Double-booking is an operational failure. It damages trust with prospects and creates unnecessary friction for your team. Setting up a two-way sync with Google Calendar ensures that BAMF OS always knows your true availability, preventing scheduling conflicts before they occur.

A two-way sync means that events created in BAMF OS are pushed to your Google Calendar, and events created in Google Calendar are pulled into BAMF OS to block off time. This synchronization happens in real-time, maintaining a single source of truth for your schedule.

To initiate the sync, navigate to the Integrations section in BAMF OS and select Google. You will be prompted to authenticate with your Google account. Ensure you grant the necessary permissions for BAMF OS to view and edit your calendar events.

Once connected, navigate to your calendar settings within BAMF OS. Select which specific Google Calendar should be checked for conflicts (e.g., your primary work calendar) and which calendar new appointments should be written to. You can select multiple calendars to check for conflicts, which is useful if you manage personal and professional schedules separately.

After the configuration is complete, run a test. Create a dummy event in your Google Calendar and verify that the corresponding time slot becomes unavailable in your BAMF OS booking widget. Then, book a test appointment through BAMF OS and verify that it appears on your Google Calendar.

Reliable scheduling is the backbone of a professional operation. Do not rely on manual calendar management. Implement the two-way sync and let the system handle the logistics.
