Zapier vs Make: Choosing an integration platform
While BAMF OS has robust native automation capabilities, you will eventually need to connect it to external tools. Zapier and Make (formerly Integromat) are the two leading iPaaS (Integration Platform as a Service) providers. Choosing the right one depends on your technical comfort level and operational complexity.
Zapier is the industry standard. It boasts the largest library of supported apps and an incredibly intuitive, linear interface. If you need to quickly connect two tools (e.g., send a Slack message when a Stripe payment succeeds), Zapier is usually the fastest path to deployment. However, it can become expensive at scale, and handling complex, multi-branch logic can be cumbersome.
Make offers a visual, node-based interface that is better suited for complex workflows. It excels at data manipulation, iteration (processing arrays of data), and conditional routing. It is generally more cost-effective for high-volume operations. The tradeoff is a steeper learning curve.
For most operators, we recommend starting with Make due to its flexibility and pricing structure, unless a specific app you require is only available on Zapier.
